  1. Blend Mode affects the colors under the brush by averaging them together.
  2. Blend looks at two adjoining colors and places middle colors between them.
  3. As you paint, more shades are added between already blended colors.
  4. Just paint with the current brush shape to continue blending colors.
  5. Remember, Blend Mode works with colors UNDER the brush.
  6. So, by painting over the background color with the brush, it is also blended.
  7. In other demonstrations we'll show you how to use blend for different effects.
